ADAPTING KALMAN FILTER IS DIVIDED TO FOUR MAIN TASKS. THE FIRST TASK IS DEFINING THE STATE VECTOR FOR MULTIPLE OBJECT TRACKING. THE SECOND TASK IS DETERMINING A MOTION MODEL FOR ESTIMATING THE POSITION OF SOCCER PLAYERS IN THE NEXT FRAME. THE THIRD TASK IS DEFINING AN OBSERVATION METHOD FOR DETECTING SOCCER PLAYERS IN EACH FRAME. FINALLY, THE FOURTH TASK IS TUNING THE MEASUREMENT NOISE COVARIANCE AND ESTIMATING NOISE COVARIANCE. IN THE THIRD TASK, A NOVEL OBSERVATION METHOD FOR DETECTING SOCCER PLAYERS IS PROPOSED. THIS METHOD DIVIDES THE PLAYER BODY INTO THREE PARTS AND CALCULATES THE HISTOGRAM OF EACH PART, SEPARATELY. ALSO, AN ALGORITHM FOR UPDATING THE REFERENCE OBJECT PATCH IS INTRODUCED IN OBSERVATION METHOD. EACH TASK IS DISCUSSED IN DETAIL AND THE PROMISING PERFORMANCE OF THE PROPOSED METHOD FOR TRACKING SOCCER PLAYERS WHEN RUN ON THE AZADI DATASET IS SHOWN. ...

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to assess the influence of a positional role on sport injuries in professional SOCCER PLAYERs. Thirty-eight matches from Zobe-Ahan and Sepahan teams were analyzed. All incidents were recorded with regard to position and time of injuries. Total 121 injuries in 38 matches were observed. Midfield PLAYERs received significantly more injuries (40.4%) than other positions (P<0.05). Also a significant difference (P<0.05) was observed between different periods of game. Considering different parts of body most injuries were located at lower extremity and occurred due to PLAYER to PLAYER contact (87.6%) . So, present study suggests that PLAYER position and periods of games have an effect on injury rate. Greater risk in midfield position and final periods of halftime should be more considered by team physicians, coaches and fitness trainers to prevent injury

Background and aims: proprioception and balance are two effective factors on improving performance and sport injury prevention, but the effect of participate in different sport activates on this sense has been studied less. So, the aim of this study was to compare the knee joint sense position in SOCCER PLAYER, volleyball PLAYER and non-athlete men. Methods: 45 subjects including 15 SOCCER PLAYERs, 15 volleyball PLAYERs, 15 non Participated in this study. The Knee joint position sense of the dominant leg of these subjects was assessed through 15, 30, 60 degrees flexion reconstruction with closed eyes and in closed movement chain using electrogoniameter. Data were analyzed using one way ANOVA test and TUKEY POST HOC test. Results: The results showed that the mean of absolute error in 60 degree reconstruction in volleyball PLAYERs is significantly less than absolute error in SOCCER PLAYERs and non-athletes (P<0.05). There was not significant differences between mean absolute error in 15, 30 degrees in the three groups of subjects (P>0.05).Conclusion: Volleyball PLAYERs have better knee joint position sense in 60 degree reconstruction.Maybe plyometric training specially jump- descend with body weight can help to improving knee joint position sense.

Abstract:

Due to the increasing amount of video data, a lot of research has been done in the field of retrieving and categorizing this type of data. On the other hand, with the growing popularity of football and the increasing number of its audiences, the importance of automatic and real-time extraction of statistics and information about SOCCER matches has increased. One of the critical and challenging tasks in SOCCER video analysis is the detection of PLAYERs’ blobs and regions, along with identifying the teams related to the PLAYERs. This task encounters many challenges, including grass loss in the playfield, the presence of playfield lines and PLAYERs' shadows, the overlapping of PLAYERs with objects and other PLAYERs, and different shapes of PLAYERs in different situations. This paper proposes a framework for detecting PLAYERs and their related teams. For this purpose, an object-sieve-based method is used to detect PLAYERs’ blobs, and a genetic algorithm is used to identify their related teams. Each chromosome of the genetic algorithm is a window that lies on one blob whose fitness function shows how much its color and shape characteristics fit with the uniforms of each of the two teams. The proposed method was evaluated by 50 different frames of broadcast SOCCER videos, including 563 PLAYERs, and 40 different sub-images, including 84 PLAYERs. The results show 98% and 91.6% precision for PLAYER detection and labeling, respectively.

Background and Objective: Extensive exercise may be disrupting oxidant and antioxidant balance and cause the phenomenon of oxidative stress in human and decrease athletics performance. This study was done to determine the effect of coenzyme Q10 supplementation for two weeks on markers of lipid peroxidation in SOCCER PLAYER.Methods: In this queze – experimental study, 36 SOCCER PLAYERs (mean age, 20.08±1.12 years, weight 63.28±1.65 kg and maximal oxygen uptake 53.12±0.98 ml per kg/bw) divided into three groups for 14 days and the desired experiment was done during this period of time. SOCCER PLAYERs in control group did not receive the supplements and exercise. Subjects in placebo group were received 5 mg/kg/bw aspartame capsules. Subjects in supplement group were received 5 mg/kg/bw of Ubiquinone-10. SOCCER PLAYERs also performed two 90-minute SOCCER matches with less than 48 hours. Blood samples 24 hours before and after the period were collected. Malondialdehyde (MDA), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), creatine kinase (CK) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) levels were measured. Results: Serum level of MDA and AST after two consecutive football matches was significantly increased in the placebo group in compared to supplementation and placebo groups (P<0.05). The serum levels of AST and MDA in supplementation group did not significantly increased when compared to control and placebo groups. Conclusion: Short-term supplementation of coenzyme Q10 before and during of the two consecutive SOCCER matches can prevent the elevation of lipid Peroxidation indeces.

Abstract:

Precise PLAYER localization is the key step for improved analysis such as PLAYER TRACKING in SOCCER broadcast videos. Extracting PLAYER trajectories provides some essencial information for coaches and sport experts to determine weaknesses and strengths of the PLAYERs and the team and to evaluate overall strategy of the game. As far as previous scenes are missed by camera motion, continuous PLAYER trajectory could be depicted by trajectory extraction on constructed mosaic. The goal of this paper is to transform PLAYER position to the field model and extract all trajectories in both image and model spaces. Therefore, PLAYERs are detected using Gaussian Mixture Model and Gentle Adaboost. After removing extra regions such as goal post and lines, isolating occluded PLAYERs, PLAYER labeling and transforming PLAYER positions to the same coordinate system, PLAYER TRACKING is carried out. Finally, the proposed PLAYER detection and TRACKING methods are applied for 78 frames taken from six SOCCER sequences.

Abstract:

This study provides a bibliometric analysis of research related to the topic of robotic SOCCER and artificial intelligence (AI), mapping the intellectual and thematic landscape of a rapidly evolving interdisciplinary field. Drawing on 79 peer-reviewed articles from the Web of Science database spanning 1997 to 2024, we examine publication trends, citation impact, prolific contributors, institutional output, and core research themes. Utilizing the bibliometrix R package and biblioshiny interface, our analysisreveals that research on robotic SOCCER has experienced episodic growth, with notable surges linked to global competitions such as RoboCup. Results indicate that topics such as multi-agent collaboration, learning algorithms, autonomous decision-making, and human-robot interaction dominate the field's motor themes. Influential institutions include Islamic Azad University and Sapienza University of Rome, while key authors such as Peter Stone and Hiroaki Kitano shape the domain’s scholarly foundation. Despitethe dominance of technical publications, there remains a research gap in addressing sociotechnical dimensions and integrative AI strategies. This study not only clarifies the structure of the field but also identifies emerging trajectories, offering a strategic foundation for future research on intelligent autonomous systems in sports contexts

Abstract:

This study represents an attempt to determine the prevalence of exercise-induced bronchospasm among SOCCER PLAYER children. A total of 234 SOCCER PLAYER boys of all SOCCER schools from Shahr-Rey enrolled in this study. They did not have any history of a recent or chronic respiratory tract disease, a history of allergic diseases, and history of bronchodilator drugs consumption during the 24 hours prior to the study. Pulmonary function test (PFT) was performed for each participant before exercise and 6 and 15 minutes after playing SOCCER. The diagnosis of EIB was by a decrease in forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) by at least 10% and in peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR) by at least 15% with exercise challenge. If there was reduction in one parameter alone, the participants were considered as prone to EIB.Considering both FEV1 and PEFR the prevalence of EIB was 2.1% and 18.4% were prone to EIB. If FEV1 or PEFR tests were used as criteria for diagnosis of airway obstruction, the prevalence of EIB would be 6% and 15.8%, respectively. There was no significant difference between the post of PLAYERs, family history of allergic disease and EIB in SOCCER PLAYERs.  This study suggests that at least 2.1% of SOCCER PLAYERs will develop bronchospasm even if they do not have any history of asthma and allergy.
